Define the connection before selecting the component
| Decision | Project record |
|---|---|
| Interfaces | Platform environment, connector versions and the interfaces available under the agreement. |
| Flows | Market-data reception, routing and response handling required for each instrument set. |
| Configuration | Ownership of symbols, credentials, routes and permitted changes. |
| Operations | Logs, monitoring, escalation and recovery procedures supplied at handover. |
Names vary between vendors. MetaTrader 5 provides a Gateway API for relevant integrations, but the product name bridge does not establish the API, permissions or routing features of a specific offer.
Agree a demonstration that resembles the required workflow
Prepare representative symbols, account conditions and the external test environment. Demonstrate expected processing and explicit rejection cases, then examine how each outcome can be traced. Validate the correspondence between platform identifiers and external records using supported tools.
Test the integration separately from the whole-platform launch. A successful connection does not prove correct CRM account creation, market-data rights or a recovery procedure; those remain separate acceptance items in the broader MT5 deployment scope.
Handover a connector the operations team can manage
The handover pack should contain an interface diagram, version inventory, configuration owner, tested cases, monitoring signals and the route for investigating an unknown result. Agree how credentials are provided securely and how connector updates are validated without exposing secrets in documentation.
Discuss ongoing support and external provider work as separate line items when they are outside the integration project. For a brokerage with several execution connections, extend this brief with the liquidity routing requirements instead of assuming one connector includes every aggregation or dealing function.
